We have updated our ride posting for this Saturday. Someone asked if heat
cancels. No weather cancellation. Plan for a warm outing. To keep cool,
we will have 2 water bottles that are frozen solid with ice in an insulated
bag.

Kneeland Park Parking Lot
100 Turner AVE
Shelton, WA
Cycle the quiet, remote roads of Mason County. Forested hills, farm pastures
and the Hood Canal. The ride is half flat and half hilly. We start a gradual
climb right out of Shelton and reach the summit 3.5 miles later at approx.
400 FT elevation. After a descent to the Skokomish Valley, we follow the
Skokomish River out and back before the second climb of the route. The
second climb from Union is a more challenging 2 mile ascent for a 550 FT
summit. The first mile's grade is similar to that of Winery Hill in
Kirkland. Rolling hills follow the 2 mile ascent. Go to this link for route
