Kathy and I also ran into Flying Wheels between Snohomish and Monroe. We
weren't up to doing the loop, so we did a simple out and back. We had a
slightly different experience going from Snohomish to Monroe. We averaged
18 mph, so we spent a lot of time going 20+. Instead of leading a train we
were constantly being passed by the fast boys training for 1 day STP. I
think we only passed 1 or 2 people. Don't know if I've been passed before
by an individual on the flats. Some of them were really moving.
Heading back was fun as we got to see lots of bikes.
