Several hundred water bottles, dozens of BTW t-shirts, Clif bars, and
miscellaneous and sundry other items would not fit into the trailer that
our boys used to squeeze into; so we _drove_ to the BTW station. The
Boeing Everett station had coffee, bottled water, bananas, oranges,
apples, water bottles and reflectors? I wish _we_ had been so well
equipped. Being in Seattle at the east end of the I-90 tunnel through
the Mount Baker ridge, ours was organized by the Cascade Bicycle Club.
Who did the one in Everett?

Although Starbuck's was one of the primary sponsors for Seattle BTW day,
they did not provide coffee for the stations, to our chagrin and the
disappointment of many riders. So our refreshments were limited to the
Clif bars.

We counted about 635 riders through our station - down, it seemed, from
previous years. Several riders attributed that to the economy and job
attrition. Seeing as how there was also a BTW station on the East
Channel bridge, I have a feeling that a lot of bikers got counted twice.

I did ride to work later, on my single - even though it was a vacation
day. Gol durn it, I just miss that little cubicle...
