Thanks Michael for posting this! Glad I did not look at the elevation
profiles prior to riding or I might just have ignored the alarm clock and
slept in!! LOL

I want to also concur with Michael's comments about all of the hard work and
effort that Renda and Mike went to putting on this ride! Once again, they
did a superb job with the routes, lunches, social calendars, and the
arrangements for dinner on Saturday evening!! The weather was absolutely
perfect for riding both days! The only moisture we saw was a couple of
drops on the pavement prior to Saturday's ride. Then it was clearing skies
leading to clear skies and mid 70's temperatures! Sunday was absolutely
clear and the views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier were breath taking!!

I also want to put in a BIG THANKS to Kenny for driving the sag truck each
year!! Without his time (he drives over every year at his own expense) and
effort this ride would not be the success that it is. He is always there to
pick up each person's purchases and to transport them from each winery back
to the starting point so that we can all just concentrate on our riding! He
also provides assistance whenever anyone has any mechanical or other issues
along the route. Besides, there is no way (even with a trailer) that many
of us could transport our purchases!! So THANKS Kenny!!!

Looking forward to the 10 year anniversary of this ride next year!!

Later,

Ralph and Sheila Furlong

For those who are interested, attached is a PDF of the altitude charts for
this weekend's wine ride. If anyone would like a gpx file for the courses,
let me know. The Sunday chart is slightly too long due to having to
backtrack a short distance after missing a turn.

Thanks to Renda and Mike for all of the hard work and excellent
organization. For those who missed it, we had nearly perfect weather. The
predicted showers for Saturday did not materialize, and it ended up sunny
and comfortably warm (mid to upper 70's) both days.
