I am lookingforward to the tandem rally. I’d like to know who is going and ifanyone would like to get together for dinner on Friday night. Three greatrestaurants I’ve found walking distance from the hotels (we are at theRed Lion) are
1. ElementsTapas Bar – “Tapasare a way of eating and a way of living. It is a unique shared experience thatis more sociable than any sit-down restaurant. To eat tapas-style is to eat communally, free from the schedules and rigidity of a traditional meal.”
2. Porters –nice casual restaurant from a converted 1910 – train station -“Porters boasts one of the region's most festive, delightful &romantic, smoke free dining patios... cool misters, and warm blankets, wisteria, charm, history and ambiance...
3. 4 Daughters Irish Pub– Beer!
Stuff to do
1. Rack’em Billiards –at $0.75 per game, cheap fun in a newly remodeled 1925 hall
2. BozzBluez & Jazz Club
3. RedLion’s Characters night club manages to have yet an entirely differentflavor in a dimly lit atmosphere with dancing, cold drinks and pool
4. GroundZero, across from the new library along Central, features a popular comedy showand buffet on Fridays
Saturdaynight – I am excited to hear they will have a band and dancing at thebanquet.
Sunday– 4thof July Fireworks – Fireworks start at 9:45 – three miles southof the Red Lion on Pacific Hwy – the gates open at 6:30 – with foodvendors open. Sit in the stands at the baseball stadium or bring ablanket or low beach chairs for on the field. Car pool or maybe bike downto the fireworks.
